Party in the Park

ACO supports PURPLE PEOPLE BRIDGE
with CORNHOLE 13 EVENT at Party in the Park.

The Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce has invited American Cornhole team to run it's Cornhole 13 event throughout the 2008 Party in the Park season at the Yeatman's Cove festival. The American Cornhole Organization is working with the Southbank Bridge Company which owns and operates the non-profit organization to support and maintain the Purple People Bridge. Thanks to our friends at Mac Productions we have been able to create a unique score board for the official ACO Challenger Game - Cornhole 13.

We ran the first event this past week (April 23, 2008) with great success. The game in the future will run with participants paying $2.00 to play and a portion of proceeds benefitting the Purple People Bridge.

About the event - players compete either as singles or doubles trying to make 13 cornholes in the quickest time. We have ten teams or players competing at one time with a maximum time limit of five minutes per heat.

It was Mike Meyer placing first last week with a time of 2:01 in the singles match. The event had more than several hundred players compete in the evening. We are going to be back this Wednesday April 30th for another repeat performance and will then be there every other Wednesday throughout the Summer months.

We are currently are looking for sponsors for this event if interested contact Frank Geers at 513.965.8687 about sponsorship opportunities.

Empowering Future Leaders

American Cornhole gets involved with numerous fundraising opportunities from working with the Carson Palmer Cornhole Classic which supports the Lighthouse Youth Services, to developing one of our top ACO Pro events around a fundraiser that supports the Easter Seals Work Resource Center. It is with great pleasure that we add the Ichthus Ministries to our portfolio of worthy causes to be associated with.

In 1970 a year after Woodstock a professor and a group of concerned students looking for a way to be a change agent in their culture started the first Christian music festival. It is currently the longest running Christian festival in the nation.

Ichthus by using culture's tools has been able to transmit an alternative message. For nearly four decades, Ichthus has helped tens of thousands of students find Jesus Christ and respond to the destiny they have in Him.

This rising generation has great potential - they dream, create and reform the world that we live in. Ichthus works to clarify the messages of culture and the Gospel giving students the means to make good decisions.

American Cornhole has been invited to become part of this blessed event and hope that by adding our gaming activities we will only further add to the strength of the festival and what it stands for.

Amen.
