Welcome to the ACO, New York.

Pictured in his front yard getting ready to pitch a cornhole is Ed Weise the newest member of the every growing ACO Family. Ed has written a little something about himself to share with the rest the American Cornhole gang.

Yes, that's me, Ed Weise playing Cornhole in my front yard. And, yes, that's a log sided garage behind me which my wife and I built. We also live in a log home location in the upstate New York town of Amenia, NY, population about 4900. Amenia is about 80 miles, as the crow flies, north of NYC and is know for the first Borden condensed milk factory, which is still standing. Another interesting fact is Margaret Hamilton's ashes were scattered in Amenia, she was the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of Oz.

We have lived in the Hudson River Valley Region of NY for the past 32 years, have two grown sons and three grandchildren. I'm 63 and my wife Lorraine is 64 and we are both originally from NYC. We first got introduced to Cornhole while on a Carnival Cruise back in May 2009. Going through the daily activity sheet we noticed an "Adult Bean Bag Toss Contest" and decided to check it out. We entered the contest and won. So we tried the next day, but competition was getting much better. We didn't win the rest of the time we played but we were hooked on Cornhole from that point on.

After the game, I wrote down the American Cornhole website on the back of the board and when we got home I checked out the website. It was an awesome website. I've been in sales for almost 30 years and have been looking for a product that would appeal to a wide range of people, be fun and used throughout the year. Cornhole seemed to fit the bill. I did some research, viewed the website several times and made the decision to become the IREP for area code 845 in New York.

Just as a side light, I recently brought my cornhole boards and bags to a picnic. I was playing cornhole with friends that were 69, 70, 80 years old. They really enjoyed the game. One round the 80 year old got three cornholes in a row.
